have an '07-680 Rincon that is idling high. It is fuel injected and I rode Saturday with no issues. When I started on Sunday morning, could not get it to idle down. When I wuld kill it, it would strain starter a little(had to hit starter 4 or 5 times to get to turn over). When it would start again, high idle. I started today and still idling high. Could it have jumped time?

nope..jumping time wont cause it to idle high, if it jumped time..it wouldn't run right period..sounds like your not getting the right fuel mixture to the engine..or you could have a hole/crack in your intake boot..check this out..most idle problems are from either a messed up carb..or a leaking intake boot..check it out..and we can take it from there...also..check to make sure your choke isn't stuck.

your prob right..lol..that was a shot in the dark..i think they have something like a electronic warmer ? <shrugs>

sounds like the iacv is stuck. dont ride it till you get that fixed. if its new, or under 1 year old, its still under warranty. its an easy fix, just drop it by your local honda shop for repairs. if not, ill walk you thru the repair.

Yeah, the Idle Air Control Valve on Fuel Injection has about the same job as the choke on a carb.

i had a one do this too, it would rev real high, would not move either, turned out to be the IACV or the "electronic choke" runs great after i replaced that

You have two problems. Number one is the starter, it has a bad spot in the armature take it to a alternator starter shop and have it rebuilt. # 2 simple fix remove the IAC valve on top of throttle body, (looks like a carb) remove seat and white plastic shield to gain access. the valve has two torx screws holding it in right on top, one screw has yellow paint on it to show if it has ben tampered with. Pull out this electric valve and you will see a plastic plunger that is threaded on to electric motor. It gets stuck at top, letting in to much air resulting in high idle. Hold the metal screw shaft with very small needle nose pliers and turn down the plastic plunger. lube the threads with a light greese or grafite. It will idle too low now until you start and stop it about three times. after that it should be fine. PS it will have this problem some time in future.

its a sensor under the seat mine was same thing brought it back to honda they put new idle sensor in it and perfect
