Hi I like this web site.
Please help. My kids want go riding and my quad is not running well. It will only stay running when I leave the choke out and then it runs bad.
I did a search on it and it seems I need to clean the carb. So how do you do that? Just like every body else monies tight. so I can take it to the shop.

Thanks for any help.

I just love this web site people that loves their honda whats cooler than that

Maybe the fuel lines are gummed up with old fuel. It's not that hard to clean out teh carb. But we need a lil more info on the problem to really narrow it down to find the problem and solution.

Ok

Honda trx 250 recon 2007

Well the frist thing is the battery seems to lose charge thats been going on for a bout 2 months I just make sure I charge it the night before we leave. THis will last for the weekend. I dont know if that has to do with the problem.

The last day I rode it it seem to miss. So I changed the spark plug. Went out riding the next week.

Battery was all charged up. Pull the choke out it started fine. I have to keep the choke on or it will die. But when I ride it it sounds and feels like it has something stuck in its throats. And it just cant cough it out.

run run run cough cough got it out run run run
or

run run run bogdown bogdown run run run

Sorry I dont know to to make it any more clearer.

Thanks So much Julie

This sounds like you may have a touch of water in your fuel.. I would get me some seafoam and pour about a half of a can in the tank. Instead of using the choke try pumpint the throttle about three times and then just barely hole it down a touch and start it that way. I never use my choke.
