Hi folks,

I just purchased my first Honda ATV. it's a trx420fm1. I bought it for the simplicity of design and the price. I've only had it for a few days but look forward to using this forum as a tool and to communicate with fellow Honda owners! I have not filled in my use profile yet But I'm from NH and have lived here most of my life.

That is a gorgeous machine! Congrats on the purchase. I love the orange color, love it. And yes, the FM1 is about as utilitarian and simple as it comes these days for a utility quad. As an FYI, if you have any questions about maintenance, etc, hit me up. I don't know it all, but I did put over 3300 miles on my 2016 Honda Rancher and rode it in about every terrain imaginable. My Rancher was so much fun, and it never let me down. Now I have a question for you: what factors played into your decision to buy a new Honda Rancher?

My main reasons for buying a rancher is that my father has an 04 350 es that I have used periodically over the years and it has been a stout platform. I am not a fan of the electric shift so I was happy to see the manual shift is still available. I have a friend that has a 199? 300 4x4 that is manual shift that still is in great working condition despite years of use and abuse at the hands of his teenage son. And the price, $4,999 was right on budget for me. And I happen to like the orange. Lots of red and green ones in my area. It reminds me a lot of machines I rode when I was younger but feels physically larger than those to me. I just registered it and am looking forward to putting it to work around my home.

Cheers

It’s magical to buy a new Honda quad. I know the feeling. Do us a favor and attach a few more photos of that beauty into this thread! I love the orange too. I’ve been eyeing the orange 2019 Foreman ES EPS.

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your new toy/tool. Better yet attach a photo in the quad on the month thread!
