I am going to buy my first ATV tonight. Have talked with a salesmen and worked out a price on a 2009 Honda Fourtrax Rancher At (trx420fa). What I would like to know is what what I should be paying for this being 2 years old, but still new. He is saying $6000.

Tell him it's a 2 year old model since 2011 would already be coming out.

Also I've seen new 2009 trx700xx for sale at dealerships for $5600.

Why buy new? Hondas are pretty reliable. Check out craigslist in your area. I just picked up a 2006 400ex for 2500. Has scratches, needed brake pads and valve adjustment. Runs like new.

What is the price of the new models coming out? And if they are going to stick with that price see about a free extended warranty and maybe a free helmet ect.

I been checking online. I will be buying one here shortly. I need a bigger ride so I can carry a passenger and get through some mud. The 400ex is fun but no way can I ride someone on the back. Im already over the weight limit by myself! That price I posted is the MSRP at all Honda delaerships. Im sure you can get a better deal than the MSRP but I wonder how much. Maybe I could find a 09 or 2010 thats still left over.

You guys are lucky you don't live north of the boarder, the prices we pay would floor you. Even with money basically at par I paid 8000 per machine, did get a warn wench on both.
