Hey Guys

New to the forum thing so bear with me thanks.
The 400 has 4.1 in of ground clearances and was thinking of run a taller
tire to increase the ground clearances.
any thoughts or suggestions

If you put 22" rears you will increase the clearance by 1".

Yeah if you increase the tires size decrease the front sprocket.

Welcome to the forums...Are you talking about a 400EX? or the utility400? but I agree with the above post.

I thought about that same thing when i was on the market, go with a 700xx and you get bout 6 in. of addition clearance. lol but other that that i'd have to say drop a tooth an go with bigger tires. I almost went with a 400ex but income taxes cleared the extra grand!! welcome to he forum and go honda baby

I already own the 400 so I think i'll get the taller tires and drop a tooth on the front sprocket

thats your best bet for gaining clearence and keeping close to the same power

Agree but also keep in mind the taller tires will be balloony and will reide different from the stock tires, they will want to roll out on you and tip you over so be careful.

I would recommend maxis razr or razer 2, I run 22's on my 250x and I dropped two teeth from my front sprocket. With the bitey tires and smaller sprocket no one will beat you off the line!!!!!!
