hey guys was just givin an 86 trx 200sx but it leaks alot of oil it is coming from the cover right behind the sprocket and rip cord just need to know the name or what ever to get one off ebay or from a junkyard near me but have to have a name to reference.

If you're talking about #1 in the diagram below, it's called the left crankcase cover. If it's the gasket behind it leaking, then you need the left crankcase cover gasket.

isn't there a seal behind a snap ring directly behind the front sprocket? Mine has one.

Yes, there's a seal behind the sprocket, but since he said behind the sprocket and pull rope, I figured he was talking about the crankcase cover. If he's talking about the seal behind the sprocket, he needs an output shaft seal.

no I believe its the crankcase cover havent looked to close the guy who gave it to me has it jb welded but he said it still leaks when the motor heats up he thinks the chain hit it befor he got it but is not sure i figure ill pull the cover clean and braze it if it is cracked and put all new gaskets on the motor it is really just a starter quad for my 8 year old so ill be riding w/ him for now but then he can destroy it I just want to make sure if he goes out on the trail it wont seize on him and strand him there.
