I have watched every video to be watched about cam chain tensioning I even phoned my local Honda dealership and the mechanic says there’s a bolt with an adjusting screw on the cylinder or crankcase but I haven’t found one yet, I see the bolt on my ct90 but it’s not there on trx 125 manual says there’s a bolt beside the oil drain plug with spring and rod to tension cam chain but the engine sounds like clackety clack when it runs and I’m too scared to pull the bolt out because I don’t know what will happen so please help me ASAP.

lol, god I miss the days owners for these atv's thought the cam chain adjuster bolt was the one they got ahold of, and pulled the oil drain bolt out..rofl. first, you need to locate the CORRECT bolt to remove ?, then you need a small threaded tool, such as a motorcycle spoke ?, it has to thread into the very inside of the hole, you pull down on this, then tighten the outer lock nut if my memory is still good ?. honda did this on a lot of the early atcs back in the day. you should locate this in the service manual somewhere ?.
