I have a 1986 200sx honda 4trx and i think the motor is pretty much going on it who knows if you can put a biggee motor in them i was told a 250 big red motor will fit but i dont believe the guy for personal reason hahaha . But does anyone now what motor/transmission you can put in a 200sx 1986 honda 4trx with out doing a lot of mods to the frame to make it fit or doing nothing to the frame.

The only motor that will work without a ton of mods is the '86 and later 200X ATC. The guy that told you a 250 Big Red would work is out of his mind. The Big Red ATC was similar to the TRX250 as it's shaft drive. Your 200SX is chain driven.

Anything can be accomplished given enough time, money and welding rods... But I would just look for a donor 200SX or 200X in that year.

By the way, the older 200X's probably wouldn't work well, but would be a lot closer than the Big Red. At least they were chain driven.

If your not fussy on engine size (CC) I would say a trx125 would fit in there nicely with a few minor mods. I had two some years back and they were pretty nippy ATV’s.
