my daughters 97 300 kawasaki bayou had a bad battery in it would not start by the starter so i pulled the rope and it started but only ran a few minutes and very rough so i put a new battery in it and it started and ran 5 minutes now i have no spark at all tested all the wires turn the key on it has a relay that clicks and gets hot power goin in none coming out have power to cdi box none coming out was told the starter relay was bad but with a new battery it should rope start could the cdi box be bad posted on the kawasaki forum got no help here you all have been very helpful any advice woul be greatly appreaciated and help me make my daughter smile

Try jumping across the solenoid terminals. the pull start shouldn't have any effect on a bad battery or solenoid. make sure all of your grounds are hooked up and clean.

i just jumped the solenoid starter turns engine but no spark this is a nightmare

Seems that the electric starter is busted try to check the solenoid terminals as stated.
