I’m new on here don’t know if this has been discussed before. But I’m wanting to build a 6” lift for my 08 rancher 420 I’m wondering if anyone else has done this and if you could send me the specs and measurements that you used? Any help would be appreciated.

Yep, you need dropped A Arms, new front axles, swing arm and rear shaft stretch, adjustable shocks, longer brake lines and extended vent lines for the rear end.
Give Don Oglesby a shout, he’ll point you in the right direction I’m sure, he can definitely sort you a swing arm and shaft stretch.

yes going past 2 inch lift your going to be making a LOT of custom parts, and I gather trial by error on them working very well, till you get the right angles and things
I would imagine there are some folks that have done this, that might shed some light on things, but doubt IMO
its really worth the time to do so, as in the end, its still a small under HP machine, trying to turn large heavy tires! ( its less than a 30 HP atv here )
and NO really way of making any more decent HP
BUT to some I guess the fun is making something and not the end results being worth the costs or time??
