Hi guys. First post.

I have discovered I have a slightly bent rear axle on my 06 rubicon. I planned to replace it and the right rear hub. Can someone please tell me how to get the axle out.

Thanks

To check the bearings, try to move or wiggle the inner race. It should turn, but not have any side to side or up and down movement. When you turn the inner race, it should be smooth and quiet.

Also, when you jack the rear end up, grab the tires and try to move and wiggle them up and down and side to side and see if the axle moves. If it does, the bearings are bad.

So I changed the axle. Wasn't too hard to do. However, the tube on the left side was not centered around the axle when I put it back on. To get the hub back on, I loosened the bolts on the tube, placed the hub, and then tightened up the bolts. The wobble is gone, but I notice when I turn the rear wheels by hand, there is one part of the rotation where it feels a little tougher to turn. What have I done wrong?

Maybe it's just the brakes dragging a little in that spot. If not, then I don't know.
