i have a 2000 400ex and im having a hard time getting it jetted right.

here is what i have in it-.020 bore,11-1 piston,stage 1 hot cams,no airbox lid,uni filter,at see level.

i had a 170 jet in it and pulled the plug and found it white.
now i have put a 175 in it and am wating for it to cool down before pulling the plug.

where should i set the air/fuel mixture screw to and what notch on the needle.

i have a stock carb and whent to honda and bought a 170-175 jets from them.

any advice will be very apreciated,thanks from killer454

I would say start at the middle notch and try about 2.5 turns from lightly seated.
