Welcome to the forums. The carb probably needs to be taken off and cleaned.

Helmut thanks for the quick reply.

I had problems last year and took it to a repair shop. they cleaned the carb and overall tune up. I had it out a couple weeks ago and it ran like a champ. Rode it for a couple hours.

I'll try your suggestion

Thanks

2004 honda 450

Gas coming out of a tube on the bottom of carborator. This tube is attached to the carborator and nothing on the other end. My brother has a 350 and has the same tube.

Turn the gas off and it stops. turn gas on or to reserve and it just pours out.

Any suggestions???????

The float valve is stuck open and not shutting the fuel off when the float bowl gets full. The bowl is overfilling and running out the overflow.

Thanks Helmut!!

The float valve is on the side of the carborator (metal bubble)????

I took off the top of the carborator before this happened and it was bone dry. Didi not even smell like gas. I tapped on the float valve cover while trying to start. It started and then started pouring gas.

Any suggestions on how to get it unstuck?

The float valve is inside the carb. It is attached to the float. When gas fills the carb bowl, the float rises and the float valve shuts off the fuel inlet, stopping the gas flow into the carb bowl.

Here is a picture and diagram. In the first picture, you can't really see the float valve itself, but it's under the float where the arrow is pointing to. I circled the float valve in red in the diagram.
