It was working nicely, when all of a sudden it shows as if its over heating. Now she won't shift into gear at all. The screen doesn't show any code... A little - idk, minus sign or dash!? What ever its called... Its flashing on the screen where the codes usually blink.. Any help with my problem would be great.

Do you know if it was actually overheating? Are you sure it is out of gear, free wheeling in neutral and showing those codes? Is the battery fully charged?

Yeah I'm sure the machine doesn't shift into gear and yes its not over heating, plus I have my truck battery hooked to my sons quad, so its fully charged.! Idk what to do.. Bought it for my 16 yr old son for a father son gift...

You'll need a copy of the service manual, you can get one HERE for your 2014 Rancher. Attached below is a screenshot of section 23 page 7 which begins by directing you through some troubleshooting steps as Melatv advised above.

Flashing should be in a pattern of blinks.
