Hey guys,
So I swamped my foreman last weekend... changed the oil and filter, air filter, and drained all the gas. It starts up every time, but as soon as I push the throttle down it stalls out. I've ran sea foam through the gas but I'm thinking I'll have to take the carb apart and really clean it out. Any suggestions?

Which year (& motor size) Foreman ya got? Try draining the float bowl on the carb... there is a plug on the bottom you can unscrew to let the water out.

If you sunk the motor, many times ya gotta take the motor apart to get all the dirt (from muddy water) out. If the water was clean you may be alright after a couple quick oil & filter changes. Its your call...

Welcome to the forums!

Nevermind my question... I see its a 2001 (in your title) now. ;-)

just a FYI ?, no water is clean water when it comes to lakes, ponds, rivers !!..lol. what looks clean to the naked eye ?, IS NEVER CLEAN WHEN IT COMES TO A MOTOR !. I know your going to blow off what I am about to tell you ?, and you have every right too !. but !!..you want an honest opinion ?..that motor should be split, flushed, cleaned spotless !. until you do this ?, all your doing is gambling if it will last or not ?, your call, your time, your atv, do as you wish ?, but I know what I would do !, one: never treat it like it is a boat !!, atvs have their place, AND DEEP WATER IS NOT ONE OF THEM !..LOL. anyway, if it was mine, ( and I know its not ! ), I would split the motor, and clean it the correct way !. flushing it over and over will NEVER GET THE INSIDE CLEAN !. good luck :).

Just a quick one....

I ride in mud and water 90% of the time, I change all oils and filters at least 4 times every 6 months depending on conditions when I ride. I ALWAYS flush my motor with red diesel or kerosene a few times at every oil change. I've not yet sunk my 300 but these I precautions I take 'just incase' any silt, grit or grime have work there way in.
As Shady said, clean is never clean, of your in any doubt that there may be muck in any place it shouldn't be then keep cleaning until you feel it's clean enough to use.

No no I appreciate any suggestions you've got. I know it's not "clean" water.. I was only stating that it wasn't a mud hole that I sunk it in.
But back to your point about flushing the engine, I should be able to find a "how to" on google somewhere?

should be able to ?, but you could find a service manual here if you want to go that route ?. those motors are pretty simple to tear apart. thing is, after you do split it ( if that's what your after ? ), are you going to wise up, and stay on land ?, or..you still gonna treat it like a boat ?..lol.

We started talking about a carburetion issue right away (assumptions are useless!) but you may have an ignition dropout problem. The ignition coil may have gotten wet and shorted while underwater... almost certainly the spark plug boot took on water if it wasn't treated with di-electric grease. I'd suspect that the coil is failing under load at this point... swap another new or used OEM coil in it to find out and clean & treat the CDI connector with di-electric grease as well. You'll need to treat every connector on the bike to waterproof them but you know that by now....

She's alive!
I took the carb apart, let all of the jets sit in seafoam for 10 minutes, blew them through with the air compressor, changed the spark plug and she's good as new!
Thanks everybody for some great advice!
