Would there be any adverse affects of attaching another muffler to a muffler. I am interested in doing this to silence my exhaust a little more. I know Kolpin and Benz have an available add on. However, I don't see how a $35 muffler and a relative that can weld can't make it cheaper....

Oh yeah, it's for a 2010 rancher.

I seen where someone did that on another forum and it worked out just as good, if not better than the Benz or Kolpin exhaust. I think it looked a lot better, too.

Here are some pictures of the homemade stealth exhaust that I saw on another forum. This is on a Grizzly, but it will give you some idea of how it would look.

This is a quote from the poster that built the exhaust and posted these pictures from the other forum.

"todays hunting muffler

pipe elbows $2.50 each x3

Lordoc super quite muffler $39

Paint $5

= $51.50 for the most quiet stealth muffler ive heard ever....................its even quieter than scooter.
Lets put it this way ........you cant even heard the exhaust over the motor."

The trick to that is just to make sure you don't back into anything. LOL.

You would have to be extra careful. It would probably bend the original pipe on the ATV, too, if you backed into something.

if i were to use something like that ( which i won't ! )..i would make some kind of bumper cage to surround it..this way if i did back into something ( and we all do it..sooner or later )..at least it may save it from damage.

People mostly just use those for hunting and then they take them off when done.
