I painted my muffler with high heat enamel, and have the exhaust cap and heat shield getting done in black chrome ceramic. I'll post pics when I get it all together.

My question is, with the spark arrestor out, I can see the rear chamber of the exhaust is only 4-5" deep. The exhaust hole Coles in at the bottom of the chamber so the exhaust doesn't directly out through the hole in the exhaust tip, but must swirl a bit. I'm wondering if I put a layer around the OD of the chamber if it would quiet the bike? Or if the baffle material is high flow, I could wrap a good amount around the spark arrestor?

I don't know about adding more filler to the exhaust, you might end up making more back pressure than you want
. YES it might make it quieter, but at what costs

if you want a quieter exhaust, they sell commercial silencers for ATV's that do work and a ton of home made can be seen on Youtube?

I've packed exhausts in the past, add to much and boy you notice a power loss, @mrbb has the right idea, look at aftermarket silencers/mufflers.
