Hey, i have been watching mudding videos on youtube and it seems they almost always get threw. so my question is How? Today i tried it for my self and ended up stuck for an hour...didnt even make it half way threw the hole lol, although it was about waist deep i didnt understand why i just stopped. my tires never even got to touch the bottom.

Any way here are the photos from today. any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Number 1 (It sunk in about another 1/2 foot and still wasnt touching)

Number 2 (My friend after getting in the mud and pushing)

Number 3(When i got home)

First off you need a more agressive tire. You need to hit the hole with a little speed to keep the mud out of the tires and you need to place your body on the quad to force one or two of the pulling tires to the bottom to get traction. It helps to have a lift kit. And if it's really thick mud on the bottom you still might not make it.

I'm no mudder but I would think that more aggressive tires would be a good start.

oh shit that sucks then, i just bought those tires like 2 weeks ago haha. and i actually said to my self after that i should get a lift kit so my bike is a little higher.

And mudd the funny thing is i went threw it 3 times.. first was easy, second was harder and third well the pictures explains that time haha (it was a really wide hole so all three were different spots)

Well thats sucks, i am gonna have to wait 2 years when i am done college (i move end of august) when i do get a new tire i will probably get a larger rim size to so i can get a larger tire.
The larger wheel and tire size will give you more lift also but if you go too big you will have to rejet and get a aftermarket exhaust and air filter.

Now with the 27" tires u have on urs, (it is 27" right?) did u have to get aftermarket exhaust and air filter? if so what would u recoment for a new tire size if my stock is 24"

You could go to a 26 with 12" wheels with mudlight xl's with:whore:eek:ut doing any mods. With my 27's you would have to rejet, air filter, pipe, and lift.

yeah a more agressive tire would make it alot easier on you lol you have to rock to get the pulling tires on the traction, lift helps alot also, if your going that deep try a snorkle as well
Nice video btw and well where i was stuck i couldnt rock it and stuff because my tires were about a foot from the bottom lol. and the snorkel idea well right now Submarine is helping me with that, but my father seems to think its a bad idea because it could leak and stuff.

And to Submarine Thanks once again i will probably end up with the 26" Tires 12" Rim and a lift kit once everything is all done.

if it is done right a snorkle wont leak i used 1. inch flex hose with barb to mpt adaptershose clamps on the barb side and thread into the pvc pipe i have zeor leaks on mine i can help ya with it if you need it, i did 1 recently on a 06 bruteforce also.
See the only thing that worries me is cutting the hole in the air box.. i am afraid i may make it to large and have to spend more money to replace the air box.. also what are the 3 different places u can snorkel? is it Air box Exhaust and what eles? ALSO i was told if u snorkel it u will have to add something new so the air flow doesnt mess up.. ALSO my dad and his friend said if its not done correctly u can mess up alot of stuff :S
