Hello fellow atv brothers...

Ayone have a mounted compass? what about cellphone/GPS, what brand did you go with. So many on fleabay that not sure what will work with my iPhone, and mine has a case i'm sure that makes a difference also. post up some pics if you have any of these things so I can get ideas which way to go? What about a Rifle with scope boot? I'm thinking about that also, right now I have a plano case mounted on the front rack but I'm thinking the bumps might throw off the rifle scope?

thanks for any info

I'm old skool... won't trust electronics with my life. I carry two compasses. A small one stays in my pack for a backup and a 2" angle/grade/distance/height estimating compass (like loggers use), I carry on me at all times in the woods. Crossbow or rifle is slung on my back or carried. The bike is used for hauling my gear in and out and for hauling my butt and any game I shoot back in... got no use for, and no room on the bike for any gadgets. Been getting by for decades just fine...

I understand the need for packing along lots of stuff though. If I thought I could put up with a hard-sided rifle or crossbow case I'd probably find a way to mount them using a few quik-connects. More than likely they'd just get torn up or busted off though.

Ya, I guess you'll have to deal with a lot of dirt and dust so you're better off with a case for your guns. In some states/areas it costs you a few $100s in fines (and they steal your weapons & vehicle from you) if the parasites catch you in/on a moving vehicle with an uncased (or loaded) weapon... so keep that in mind if you happen to live/hunt in one those areas.
