I have a 2007 300ex, everything is stock execpt the UNI air filter and back tires(dunlop kt175 that kame in todayartsin01: ). I always hear that 300ex are well rounded quads, and mine seems just fine for me. I can somewhat keep up to my dads 440ex in the trails but on straights i cant even come close. So i was wondering what kind of upgrades can i get for a bit more power and speed. I dont have the biggest budget so keep that in mind, thx.

Well first off get a good aftermarket exhaust.Than ditch the air box lid and jet it.Also if you can afford it hot cams has a good mild cam for the 300ex.

well as far as exausts go i was looking at this one https://www.fmfracing.com/Mode/Category/129, and u have any links to the cams, also would it be better to drill holes in the lid, i dont feel secure ditching the whole lid

The power core four is a good system.But don't cheap out.If your gonna get an exhaust buy the whole system.And as for the holes.I'd just lose the lid.With that many mods you'll need the extra air.Here's the cam.Hot Cams Products, Inc.

ok, cause i havent rode balls to the wall with this quad because if i break something ill never hear the end of it from my parents, so they dont think i cant "handle" any more power

also, should i do cam or exaust first? the cam is cheaper but im not shure if there should bea order of instalation here or not

Either way it doesn't really matter.But if your gonna do more than just a cam like maybe a big bore kit only tear the motor down once.Do it all the same time.

a big bore kit is a larger diameter piston you will have a nice ride with the bolt on mods for starters Web cams has a nice cam for the 250X/300EX also.

change sprockets.going up on the front helps top speed down=torque.

What do you mean, just totally get rid of the airbox? If you do this, what kind of filter should you look for?

No just remove the airbox lid.And run a K&N or foam type filter.
