Was able to share our trails once again with our dear friend who has cancer and some out of state friends. Lots of smoke in our area due to forest fires in California and the smoke hitting the jet stream as well as some local area fires. It has however been responsible for some beautiful sunsets though. Have been able to get out for 4 rides in the last two weekends and hoping to go again this weekend. Last ride was a bit unnerving as we came across a Grizzly:eek:!!!!! Not something I want to repeat anytime soon. Would have gotten a better picture if we weren't wanting to get out of there so quick. As it was ended up being only about 25 yards away, Cell phones don't do that great while driving away in terror.:grin

Fantastic photos, I hope to get more photos of our next ride, being the first we were all enjoying it to much and never really stopped. Great to see you all making the most of your time together :)
I’m so glad we don’t get Bears in the U.K. I’m pretty sure I’d pee if I spotted one out in the wild like that!!

It has been such a blast to be out there again, first part of summer is so busy and we get a late start in the year to be able to begin riding. It has been great to be able to take people out for their first ride in the mountains and see their response to each and every view. Also very fun to share the pics here. Wish you all could enjoy it too!

Yeah, about that, I did sell off one of my Ranchers. I have already been reprimanded by retro. Am surprised you all are allowing me to still participate here. My wife's back just couldn't take it any more. The solid rear axle was just too tough. Adding the lack of power steering was getting to be a bit tough on my old shoulders. So I caved and bought a Can Am, couldn't pass up the deal, plus the guy brought it to me all the way from Boise, 500 miles! So far it has performed flawlessly. It only had 49 miles on it. We've put about 250 on it, and it has Done well for us. Time will tell for sure. I try not to post any pics of it if I Can help it LOL. It has really helped out My wife and makes it More enjoyable to go out. FF

I was teasing my buddy with the Can-Am this weekend , told him he set a record , it rode it three times now and never worked on it once , usually it is ride twice and work on it once ----he is on his third warranty extension but only uses it for big money repairs like diffs and engine problems as it is usually about 6 weeks wait for service at the dealership at Gator Power Sports , so he fixes the broken axles , bushings , bearings and seals himself , I do think the type of riding you are doing compared to what we put them thru , you won't have as many problems as him ----------- I rode his last weekend , fun and comfortable bike to ride --------- from what I have seen along the way with his , you need to learn thumb control with a Can-Am , if you rag it , it is going to rag you

Fish,
I will say that I agree with you on the thumb control, tough on the lower speeds, when you press it the power is there pretty much instantly. Have changed my riding style a bit and actually shift into low on the more technical stuff, it gives me way more throttle control. And you are right we are old fogies and aren't tearing it up so I may be lucky with my repair issues. We have linked up with about 5 others who have the bigger Can Am's 650's, 850's, and 1000cc machines, they've been riding for years and haven't had any issues. Like I said time will tell, just enjoying being out with friends and family, that's what it's about right?FF
