I just bought this thing for a steal and everything works great, only issue that i am having is that the shifter it sticking alittle. it up shifts fine but when you go to down shift it sticks and need alittle help to return to center. The gears do not grind at all but needs some help to return to center. Any ideas to free it up or is the some sort of spring that needs replaced. Thanks for the help

Welcome to the forums. Sounds like someone has had one of the side covers off and didn't put something back right. Behind the right side cover, there's a clutch lever that has a punch mark on it that has to be lined up with an arrow on the crankcase. Someone may have taken the side cover off and may not have lined the marks up. That might not be the problem, but that's where I would start looking. If that's not the problem, I would pull that clutch lever off and then shift through the gears and see if the shifter returns properly. If it doesn't the issue probably lies in the shift linkage, somewhere inside the left cover.
