I ordered a service manual as soon as I got the quad home, and I bought an owners manual online in .pdf form for $5.
The service manual is very helpful, but having a forum where you can get help from others who have been there before is invaluable.
I remember trying to work on my cars and bikes 20-30 years ago, and even with the manuals I finally just gave up and started paying to have the work done at the dealer.
After my experiences with this quad, I'm more inclined to start doing the more straight forward stuff on my cars by myself. I'll invest a little in an inexpensive [but not cheap] air compressor and get an impact wrench and some basic tools and that will go a long way toward doing the basic maintenance, like brakes, mufflers, shocks, etc.

I still need to get one for my 07 400ex. I will be getting one for Heather's Can-Am. Found out it's going to cost me $300+ just for the first service and valve adjustment. I practically shit myself and forced it down the throat of the service tech that told me that. :shocked: :icon_cussing:

Wow thats Alot of $$$$$$! If you need any info on your 400EX I have a Honda Service manual. Just PM me and I will do What I can to give you info.
