Since it looks like i'm going to get to know my fourtraxs' on a more personal level, I am going to buy a service manual.
Are the Clymer manuals any good? Or should I hunt for an actual Honda service manual?

Clymer = crap.... pm Helmut he probably has a manual he can send you in PDF form.

I don't have a Honda service manual to compare to, but I got a Clymer manual and it had detailed pictures and notes that enabled me to rebuild my carb and any other minor repairs needed to get mine running. I paid around $21 shipped to my house for a brand new manual.

I've personally had good luck with the Clymers.
