So after reading dozens and dozens of threads I've decided to get some zillas for my 300. Although other tires might wear better and be tougher there is no doubt in my mind that most of them are way to heavy for our drive train. You get mixed reviews about all kind of tires regarding wear and punctures but how much of this is from 100% first hand experience?

With the weights of the zillas it seems like I could run a 26" and still be lighter than most 25" tires. Is anyone running 26" zillas? My concern now is clearance issues. I'd like to have a true 25" tire.

Thanks

buy what you want and be happy
mostly ,
being is happy is HAVING what you want any way's
there is NO perfect tire for every where we ride
and you can always sell them if you NOT happy
folks buy and sell tires all the time
MIGHT even try looking for used one's

Biggest issue I see and read about if folks BUYING too big a tire for there HONDA and running out of power, more than they cry about tread design or life

Honda's are NOT HP atv's
if you want to ruin big tires, a GR is in the cards , or odds are you will NOT be super happy
but just in the I will tolerate it to have "X" tires on it!

unless Honda comes out with a BIG bore BIG Hp atv, it will always be this way
folks that say, they donm't feel a power loss from a STOCK 25 to a 27-28-30
, are kidding themselves, and that's OK with me
but facts are fact
go taller LOOSE HP, and gearing change from them taller tires

I have YET to ever hear of a single person ever say there STOCK Honda HAS too much HP or is WILD powerful machine
everyone seems to say they LIKE it, and its Great for what they want

add bigger tires and well, the Thrill factor HAS ONLY one direction to go in in the performance dept
30 hp stock or so, on a 500
what 24 or so on a 300??
do math, LOL
percentage of taller you go, and percentage of HP lost
its a number game HAHA
I have yet to ever want LESS hp on any toy I had?
most all my mods I ever spend a dime on was to make MORE HP, NOT less?
But that's me
I also don't take my atv swimming either??
so what do I know LOL

What you said is 100% true. I'm hoping the zillas suit my needs. I will go with 25s. I'm coming from 23/24 mudlites so it's ridiculous to go to a 25-30lb tire. I don't take my atv swimming either. 300s are low on power and light on weight so the zilla is a top contender in my books for a good all around tire. I'm hoping I'm right but maybe time will tell different.
