Sooo around 3 years ago I rebuilt the motor and replaced the rings, made sure everything is good. Still low compression. It doesn't tick, it runs smooth, starts easily. So, wth? I heard about something like an exhaust valve, could that be the issue for compression? I guess i'm lost. :crying

around 150 I think.. I need to check again but i'm not at the farm which is 150 miles away. it's not slow by any means but it lacks grunt to do a wheelie on small hills. I'm not super disappointed, it's not like it's a 2wd and trx300s aren't powerhouses either. I still wonder about the compression.

Yeah that’s on the low side, especially for a fairly fresh rebuild, I think the service manual calls for 175-205psi ish. Might be a bad head gasket, leaky valves, valves out of adjustment. It’s funny it’s not ticking, visibility leaking or burning oil though.

There are 2 valves correct? I know the 1 where you open the clutch case and adjust it to where you can see a T is correct. If any are out of alignment it would be the other one. The exhaust valve, but i'm not quite sure how to adjust that. I'll have to look at the manual at the farm. If you know anything about that feel free to enlighten me.

I also know that the head gasket or any gaskets for that matter aren't bad because I replaced them while rebuilding the engine.
