Hey, if it's in decent shape, take 5 days and put it up on craigslist. You might find that you get someone to buy it real fast and make a little more money than the dealer will give you.

Go to Kbb.com, look in the motorcycle section and find the retail and trade-in price for your machine. It's a rough ball park price, but will let you know what to expect for trade and what you might want to ask for it on Craigs list. I sold a machine last month in 3 days.

Which ever way you go, give it a quick wash and polish up the plastic a little. Nothing fancy, just knock the top layer of dirt off. No one is expecting these things to be in show room condition, but it will help if doesn't look like you just drove it out of a swamp. ;)

Yeah, a good shine on the plastic will sell one a lot quicker.

You could also try ksl.com's classifieds.... I would never consider trading my bike in to a dealer rather than selling it myself. I have sold manythings off of there and have also made many purchases off of there too. two of the things I got were my car and my atv......
