My friend has 3 three wheelers one is a 200es shaft and a 200 chain with reverse and juust a normal 200 which bike is better shaft or chain??? Just dont know what one to get

I had a 200 back in the day. Mine was chain drive. I loved it. However, if I had a choice.... Shaft drive all the way!

I’d have either, chain drive requires more maintenance and of course chain replacement every -2 to 24 months depending on riding conditions/abuse! Shaft drive is almost bullet proof!

I would lean towards shaft myself for all the reasons stated above. However I wouldn’t pass on that 200 above either...

I would go more on condition than what mechanical parts it has. Those all have pretty much the same engine, just the way it turns the wheels is different. The 200es will have the most features of the 3, and was only made in 84 but they made a ton of them so lots of parts are available. The non ES with reverse must be a 200M, which would also have e-start. Nice trike. The regular 200 would be pull start and no reverse.

If you can post pics and prices of the 3 I would tell you which I would buy.

Shaft drive! But 1st jack up the rear and make sure everything is ok. also check the diff oil.
