So I am wanting to replace all the old halogen bulbs in my atv (1994 trx300fw) with some lower watt (but equally good or better) LED bulbs.

I still want to keep the original look, so no massive light bars or rack mounted light.
Has anyone already retrofitted and replaced the following with LED (and if so can you provide links to the product you used).

1) front double headlight (high and low bulbs)
2) rear bulb
3) 3 indicator bulbs (neutral, reverse, oil temp)

Cheers!

Update 1:

Here is a quick video I did on the headlight installation using the china 18w lights I bought. I do not have the ATV assembled yet to the point where I can do night time footage, but they do seem at least 25% brighter minimum.
Enjoy!

Update 2:

See page 4, post 32/33 for pictures of LED bulbs in tail light, and indicator lights.

If your bulbs are the oem Stanley bulbs there not halogen bulbs, these (pic) are 50 watt (highest wattage halogen bulbs i could locate,) (THEY WORK GREAT, n. still looks factory) jeep posted the name of the front type led bulbs, if he doesn't chime in, I'll see if i can dig that name up. For the tail light and dash bulbs I'd check with www.superbrightleds.com , that's where i got my bulbs, ---- dash, tail, and brake light bulbs, haven't had a single issue with any of them :)

I've used LEDs in the front before, but, just two bulbs didn't produce as much light as i thought they would, def NOT near as bright as those halogen bulbs, on a note:draw back from LEDs ----- electromagnetic interference Some them destroy radio reception FM/am/short wave, i wont use them on my machine.

Thanks for the reply.

No I ment more so replacing the whole front light assembly with a sealed led one.

Or..... This type (I've never used this type before) there are some members who have swopped over to these led pods. Someone will probably chime in about this type.

I have pods fitted, 18w. There quite bright and donthe job, also available in 36w and slightly higher if I remember correctly. Easy to fit and require no cutting of the fenders. No high beam though, I wired my lightbar to high beam which works well with the pods.

Do you happen to have a link to the kit you used? I may look for a similar one with high/low. I am (at this moment) not convinced I want to get a light bar.

Also, anyone happen to know the socket type of the stock indicator lights (newtral, oil, and reverse)? i cant seem to find any info other than "wedge" type

Also....... For those dash and tail light bulbs (IF your updaing to leds) always go with the color bulb that matches the lense color, a good tip superbrightled advised me to do, there correct, wouldn't want a pink tail light..... Lol

Have you happened to swap out for led already on the tail and indicator lights?

I cant seem to find one that matches dimensions and I heard that the indicator lights are packed in thereright. .

What is the size of the OEM headlights? Also, how do they mount? I can try and think of something that would work.

Yeah. IMO much better and brighter then oem.... I'll get you the pics/part number of the ones i installed, the dash LEDs need to shine straight at the lense, and not those 360 degree angle LEDs and the tail light led bulb is the longest that would fit in the housing, IT'S 360 degree angle led.

Ok so I think I may have found a color variety pack of compatable bulbs in terms of base and dimensions. Trying to stay cheap here (I already way overblew my budget to get this thing repaired)

Can someone double check this before I order?

I know they are not water resistant bulbs, but I think I will just put a thin layer of silicone on the cap and call it a day (and worst case I have 9 more replacements, and I update post saying they are Chinese garbage)

So here are stock bulbs:

Here is my led option:

the link to the LEDs you posted ...... Will fit the tail light socket, but not the dash rubber weather boots, the diameter of the head of the head is too big, LEDs for the 3 dash lights have to be close tp oem bulb size.

Alright, i figured the difference between the 11mm stock bulb diameter and the led one (12mm) would not be that much of a big deal, but I will deffer to you.

I guess i will keep looking.

Edit:
How about these?

If you wouldnt mind waiting until this afternoon i can talk to a buddy of mine that is big into automotive lightning upgrades, retrofits and custom lighting. Not only does it built custom lights he also sells only high quality products. I can ask him his thoughts on what LEDs to buy. Granted they probably wont be as cheap as those eBay lights but would be much brighter and better quality.
