Which air filter do you guys like better, UNI or K&N? Which one preforms better?

A K&N filter is going to allow more air flow but at the same time they will allow larger particles through into the carb. If you are riding in ideal contions like a prepped track, K&N is great. If you ride in dusty/muddy/wet/ect... I would choose the UNI. I personally prefer a foam filter. I run UNI and NoToil. A foam filter with an open airbox is just as goos as a K&N.

So now i got an FMF pipe, and if i get the UNI, will i have to jet the carb or not???

What if i get the precharger for the filter??? or would that defeat the purpose of the filter??? I would buy an UNI but i kinda like K&N better.

With the prefilter on a K&N you arer getting just about the same air intake through a good foam filter.

I have been told if you are ridin in dusty conditions do not use the K&N they let micro dirt particles through have seen motors run with the K&N and looking at the cylinder the scratches on the cylinder wall, will not ever run one again, I like my UNI very much when i tore my motor down last time no scraches in the cylinder, I have a K&N with the Alum adpter ring for the 450R it was a $120 when i bought it and know it just sits on the shelf will not use will sell for $50 shipped if anyone wants it.
