Just bought a TRX 90 for my son today. Its an '05 model and I paid $1000 for it. It looks really nice and runs great, however it wont idle. Its just dies if I'm not riding it or giving it gas. Does it just need a carb adjustment?

I'm not much of a mechanic. Is there a place I can go or read up on to learn basic maintenance like cleaning a carb?

Well get a manual and then tear into it.All you do is remove the jets clean em and all the passages and put er back together and you should be good to go.

My sons TRX90 did the same thing when I got i. I just bought a new kit for around $20 and now it runs like a champ.

I bought the new gasket kit today and I went ahead and purchased a new slow jet. Now I just have to figure out how to install it. :icon_ goofy:

It's not too hard. Just remove the carb, pull the bowl off, screw the old jet out and screw in the new one.
