Hey rocktd, I've sunk many bikes in the past and rode with others who did too. Not once did I get dirt in the engine. I know for a fact that it can but I don't know the details. I think the details are important too. In other words, I know for a fact that sinking does not equal dirt in the engine.

Yeah, I am pretty sure I didn't get any dirt in it. I sank in clean water, not in the mud. All the filters were clean when I took them out. But I replaced them anyway. The Honda dealer told me they tested the engine and everything is fine so I guess I am fine. I rather spend time on having fun rather than worrying about it.

Knock Knock
"Who is it?"
"Your Doom!"
"Nobody answers the door to 'Your Doom!'"
"Oh, OK. Box of Puppies!"

We think we're doing something low risk and the unexpected happens.

Anyway the clutch plates might have gotten hot or abraded somehow and they're either too loose or too tight. Since it's an automatic the dealer should look at it.
Oops I see all ok now
