I can see how they work It keeps the frame out of the mud and that means less drag and less likely to get stuck and yes they are ugly. I think I would rather get stuck LOL

i really dont even see how they work.

there shorter than the tires so there not grabing off the bottom of the mud, and well the tread dont look that aggressive on it.

It's more of a flotation device for the mud. It keeps you from bottoming out and I guess you have to spin your way through the mud. LOL.

if you cant grab the bottom, and you dont have some aggresive tread, your just gonna spin and not go anywhere.

It utilizes a larger foot print to keep you on the upper part of the surface. Your tires and the novs on the giant things will be enough to paddle you along.

i ordered a set yesterday!! figured as long as it keeps me floating, im gonna ride across the ocean to hawaii and relax all summer. better get two sets, need to put some on my quad trailer for the little bit of extra gas. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't try to make Hawaii in a boat. 5 Hours from LA to Hawaii by plane. Can you imagine like a 26' Bayliner!?! LOL
