So my 400ex was running yesterday. But last night I unplugged the rectifier to clean it and see if it was not working because I had battery issues the next day I plugged it back in and it won't start at all. No lights, nothing

Was there a reason you unplugged it? You message is a little hard to understand. If it was working before you took the voltage regulator off then it sounds like you need to go back and see if it is still dirty or if you need a new one. Even if the battery was really dead it will still turn the lights on and the neutral light

If you didnt remove a battery cable before un plugging it you could have blown the main fuse. Its down by the solenoid with a white plastic cover over it. If its still in factory position and has never been messed with. My .02

I wouldn't think it's the rectifier as that just regulates the voltage going to the battery.

I'd start with fuses as Slammed suggested.

If they're all good, double check your ground and neutral connections as well.
