Hi.....I'm new to the forum....but have had a 2007 Rancher 420 TRX for almost two years.....haven't ridden it much for the last couple of months because it's running hot (the light comes on) within 5 minutes of beginning to ride it.....I'm not a mechanic but do know enough to know that the coolant overflow tank under the rear right "fender" has sufficient coolant in it.....and....the front of the radiator looks clear.....it's certainly not blocked with trash (leaves, grass, etc).....does anyone have any ideas what's going on? Thanks for your help.

welcome to the forums. as for your light saying it's hot...the ranchers have had a problem with the oil sending temp sensor going bad.

Hi Everybody.....thanks for the words of welcome.....not sure I deserve to be here.....really embarrassed at this point.....feeling like an "airhead"......after posting my original inquiry, I went out and searched/found the radiator cap and realized I was low on coolant even though my overflow tank level was fine.....filled the coolant to the proper level and it seems to be running fine right now......thanks again for the "welcome"......it's great to have a place to seek answers to questions/problems about my Rancher.....have a wonderful weekend!
