Found this hole by the nurtral and reverse sensor is it a crack or is it suppose to be there?

Ya just got the bike running there's oil coming from it it's definitely a crack

Just got off the phone with a guy who's willing to part with an 86 350 for 200$ Canadian anyone know if the case on the side where this crack is will fit an 89?
