looking to hear from honest people as all of you should be honda owners!

Time for a new ATV, Im a die hard honda guy but just don't like the look of the Ricon 680. My honda rubicon will be handed down to wife as i get a new one

I have narrowed it down to 3 machines!

2018 can am outlander xt 650
2018 Yamaha Kodiak 700
2018 Suzuki kingquad 750

all the esp/winch etc

Im a guy who believes in servicing my atv at least twice a season- oil change/ filters/air filter oil etc etc

trying to figure out which one will most suit my needs my 500 is just little slow on the long roads

1)reliability
2)fuel miliage( as we do some long trips)
3) which one is most likely to be least cost in fixing up because of breakdowns!

lastely , i really love the look of the outlander and kodiak most i heard can ams have had there problems but not sure how the newer ones are. all my buddies got like 4+ years old and always putting money into them! The king quad i like except i hate the looks of the handle bars , to me they look like chopper handles lol( not interested in Polaris /arctic scrap or kawasaki

Thanks for you input guys, please be as honest as possible as some people are die hard loyal to there brands

I have a 420 rancher, and dont care to get full throttle in 5th gear.. too fast for the height/ stability of the vehicle imo. Deer have jumped out faster than you can react.. Hit one on my Sport bike at 50mph.. That said, my opinion is derived from

1) my health insurance premium is over 4k,
2) the older i get, the safer i get because of No1 lmao!

Anyhow, someone will surely respond soon

I'd go with either the Suzuki or the Yamaha, don't waste your money on a can-am

I also say get the Yamaha, and if not the suzuki
can am make HP, but they don't seem to have as long a life problem free like as the other two!
if you DON"T keep an atv long, it might not matter, but if you buy planning LONG term , then getting one with a more proven track record of long life, the yam wins and then the suzuki

If maintenance is like you indicated, then all will be fine for trail riding based on what I have seen online. I have no experience with any of them, but the Grizzly is well known for great trail riding/reliability for what you describe.

I'd buy the grizz just for that 3rd headlight. lol

The suzuki is a good bike too though. Suzuki has been doing nothing the last few years, I fully suspect them to pull the plug on the ATV division one of these days.

Can-am's are awesome, I know a couple older guys that have them, normal sized tires on them, just take er easy and trail ride. No probs they last just fine. Maintenance is key though.

I have a 2013 canam 500 Xt max; they are expensive but have IRS, eps, two up riding. 27 inch tires standard. Etc
Wife and kid love it they call it the flying carpet it rides so smooth.
Buy one of those you won’t be handing down your Rubi.

Suzuki is good too same type of CVT right? I have an 08 Is the shifter still down on the rear of the left front fender?

Newest Honda I have is the 93; at work is 06 Rancher
