Well it could not hurt to have one, i have never put one om mine but all i run is VP110 from a local race shop so no problem with contaminants there but pump fuel at the gas station or quick stop is another thing but they do have filters on the pumps, i would clean out my fuel system real good and go from there.
ok so my main jet was plugged. but i have a couple ?'s. ive got a 120 size in it right now and was wonder what size i should get if i wanted to cut the airboxlid?
im in upstate newyork so should i find my altitude aswell?
also ive read somewhere about an adjustable jet? or something to thatr nature any idea what theretalking about?
If you have a full exhaust and a after market air filter and adjustable needle put a 175 to 185 mail jet and that will be close on the needle put the clip in the 3rd notch from the bottom its the HRC needle and adj the air screw 1 3/4 to 2 turns out from lightly seated (closed)
i believe i got a hight flow header pipe, wish i couldn,t find a pec of the stock 1 so i knew for sure but i know i have an lrd proseries4 slipon, and a k&n airfilter. adjustable needle i dont have, where to buy 1?
a inline fuel fliter can always be a piece of mind when it comes to getting gas to your carbs..it won't hurt a thing to have one installed..may even save you a carb rebuild later down the road.
