I'm back - "Hornet" the Honda Recon

Howdy friends,

I've spent the past year putting miles on my Pioneer 500, and loving it. My riding buddy David just bought the '15 Foreman that he posted on here last week (with only 6 miles on the odometer) and the timing was good so I ran out and snagged another Honda quad to ride with him. But I also wanted something that would be suitable for my 12-year-old son, and other growing boys, so I looked around and snagged this beautiful little 2007 Recon TM. It's in great shape, and I'm enjoying it a ton thus far, as is my older boy. He loves it. I've got plans for it, which include new SunF A027 tires that are already in the mail, Ricochet Off-Road skid plates, and Maverick Advantage mirrors. I'll be mounting those up soon in preparation for a big 3-day Paiute Trails ride (Utah) that David and I have in several weeks. This one will be getting the street-legal treatment as well. Already has a horn installed, and the guy also installed a power outlet!

Nice find.
Thanks! I think so. It's in abnormally good shape for an '07 Recon. I have wanted to own/experience a Recon for a very long time, and I'm happy to get the chance.

Awesome, I knew you'd be back soon with another ATV! :) Love the color too!
How do you find it to your previous Rancher?

congrats on new to you atv
Thanks Mrbb. I LOVE a brand new ATV, but in this case I settled for a like-new, new-to-me Honda. Something about building a new home saps the funds, ya know?

Thanks Sam. I knew I would be too, just took time. Yes, the yellow is cool. Of course, the Rancher was just...all around more machine, more power, more comfort, more features, etc. But, I am the sort of guy that can appreciate a machine for what it meant to be, and what it is. I LOVE this little thing. I love the simplicity. And I enjoy all of the similarities to my old Rancher.

That is a great atv for a 12 year old , good choice !!
Yessir. And until I get something bigger, I'll be enjoying it too! Let's just say I'm easily entertained when it comes to powersports, even after everything I've owned and experienced.
