I did a search for "Illinois" and found nothing! Where are my windy city brothers at?!
I have a personal ride spot near the city of Wilmington, 60481. Very few locals use it, mostly just me and a buddy and maybe a few other randoms. We've been putting in some jumps and clearing for hill climbs. Will have some pics up soon, but here is Google map drawing of it with jump locations and other things marked.
Wilmington, IL ride spot.
And yes, that area is marked as Hazmat site. Thats cuz of the oil that bubbles out of the ground on hot days (dumped long ago), and the giant hills made out of dumped shingles, and the random blue plastic chemical barrels that are empty now and fun to hit with your ATV and play ATV soccer, and the oil drums that are leaking weird shit, and the water treatment plant at the southern end.
It's a fun, happy place.
I'll add legit ride parks here after a bit and some pics of the trails, but this is our personnel playground. We're not opposed to other riders there, but be respectful! The main road/driveway down there has been closed off because of illegal fishermen throwing garbage all over the place and disrespecting the land there. Yea, it's a hazmat site, but not a dump all your shit because of it site. Garbage in, garbage out and no fires.
I do NOT own the property. No one really knows who does. It was own by a company that folded long ago. No one complains about people riding down there, and my quad is LOUD too. We got busted by conseveration police for riding in their property further up the street, and they told us to go there and don't mess it up.
