Hey people! Just wanted to get some fresh eyes on these pics and see what you guys think for mounting options for a plow on my 85 250trx..

Plow was free and chains were free too so why not? Some say don't plow with that bike but others says it's fine...my driveway is pretty straight forward.

I thinking of having brackets where I've put that pin below the winch plate(pic 2)...they'll have a pin like that to secure them there and also so it can move with winch cable. The brackets will also have like a "u" cut out to fit around that bar. Then just another pin at other end to attach plow...I don't know, seems like it would work?

Thoughts?

personally if it was ME< I would make some push tubes and then add a mid mount to the center of the atv
, then your not placing all the stress on the front end, having it mounted in the middle of atv, will work like a pivot point, fulcrum, and not just be all on the front end of your atv
as its not likely its a HD front end as is
being 2 wheel drive only, I would also suggest adding a bunch of weight to the rear when you start to try to plow
most atv plow company's sell tubes too, as replacement parts, or just to look at for idea's for you too?

Good call. Center mount it is...I saw a guy on here that had some brackets bolted behind foot rests and had the rods connect to them...

I would try and keep teh tubes as straight to center of plow as possible, and NO have the push tubes in a V like from foot pegs to blade?
like I said before, Moose plow sells complete push tube and a universal belly mount for there push tube
if you go look at them, they look like pretty simple things to make, if you wish to fab up your own
