I sank my Honda Fourtrax 300 in water and it sucked water all in the engine. Me and my friends have done changed the oil like 5 times and the filter once and its still showing water in the engine?? what else do I need to do to get this thing back to normal :(. My buddy told me to keep changing it until it showed no water. We rebuilt the carb and drained all the gas. Do I need to change the gear casse oils? or Do anything with my brakes? Please help I really hope i didnt mess it up. It will run and everything its just showing water in oil still.

Like your buddy said, keep changing the oil until the water is gone. I would go ahead and change the gear oil in the diffs, too.

Don't stress too much, people sink their quads all the time. Pull the spark plug out and turn the motor over, that will push any water that is on top of the piston out of there. Your friend was right. Just keep changing the oil. Fill it and run it for a few seconds to get it around the entire engine.

Yes good advice. Oil is cheaper than an engine rebuild!

Rob
You can say that again!! I just rebuilt a 350 Rancher from trash being sucked in the motor from the pull start and spent $700 parts and labor. I removed the pull start and put a highlifter block off on it.
What got sucked in????
