How to identify models?

How does Honda decide whether a quad is Rancher, Foreman, Rincon, Rubicon, etc.?
I always thought Ranchers were the first with displays down line and are 420s but I've seen 350 ranchers without the screen. So what's the deal?

Y'all really don't understand my question lol.

Okay if you were to take the stickers off an atv how can you tell what it is? I'm wanting to know what sets rancher apart from recon and etc. I thought 420 was Rancger and 500 was foreman and 350 and below is recon but I've seen 350 rancher before without the display!

i breezed through this post, and the simple answer is : it boils down to the cc's ( size of the engine ), and the size of the quad as well as 2wd or 4wd. but mostly the size of the engine
