Welcome to the forums. To adjust the clutch free play, loosen the locknut and slowly turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until you feel resistance. Now, turn the adjusting screw clockwise 1/4 turn. Hold the adjusting screw to keep it from turning while you tighten the locknut down.
The adjusting screw is on the front of the engine.
