This is not really a ATV related question, but I figured you guys would have a lot of experience with Hondabond HT. I'm thinking about using it with an oil pan gasket on a car as a substitute for spec'ed Three Bond 1209, just in 4 small spots where there are seams in the block's sealing surface. Think it would be good for that purpose or am I better off with something like Permatex Ultra RTV? Also what's the deal with the "effective" temp range of +75 to +600 degrees on it? Surely it hold up at temps less than 75 degrees?

I would use the oil pan rtv stuff. Or a product called "the right stuff". My engine builder uses "the right stuff" on eveything and he builds motors that make many many passes down tracks of all kinds.

Thanks, there are so many options it's hard to know what's for what. The repair manual says to use a "non-hardening sealant 3-Bond 1209 or equivalent", just on the 4 joints. Any of it will probably work though.
