I have a honda trx250x recon that I rebuilt the carb on after sitting for 4 years. The problem i am having now is that it idles extremely high. Adjust the idle screw does nothing. If I pull the choke it seems to idle normal. The throttle doesnt appear to be getting stuck and I'm at a loss for what is happening.

Most likely your fuel air mix is off, itll be a little screw on the bottom of the carb, looks like a D, forget witch way to turn it but it sounds like ur running lean, best way I found to turn it was with a pick, still a pain in the ass, when ajusting it, I recomend taking the air box off and testing it with just the carb, will make it so much easier, I couldn't cuz I'm snorkel

Thank you. I have tried that as well with no luck. I ended up ripping it all apart again and when I put it back together for some reason it started working again. Still not exactly sure what the issue was since I didn't do anything differently.
