Hi,i have a 2001, 350, honda trx fourtrax or rancher as its called in the states and i would like to know if i can put semi synthetic oil in the engine . the bike is a 4x2 manual shift and i wondered if it would hurt the clutch. Great forum by the way,and do i live to far away to get a free sticker:rating10:

If you do I would recommend HN4 Honda oil that is either a full synthetic race or a synthetic blend Im not sure . but what ever you do make sure it is moly free and approved for motorcycles and ATVs since the clutches bathe in the oil. Conventional automotive oil will deteriorate the clutches over time.

I mostly use it around the farm for shooting etc but we have quite a bit of woodland. my friend has a Yamaha big bear and we have been known to get stuck from time to time. its normally very wet this time of year but we are going through a cold spell at the moment with more snow on the way so its play time. I will get some pictures for you next time we are out. Gotta winch for Xmas so it would be rude not to try it out.
