Honda TRX 90 ex 2007
Hi all,

quad was running fine but stopped being able to start. the carburettors have been cleaned, new plug and battery.
removed starter motor and cleaned it out, reassembled the starter but now we have a buzzing solenoid
connected starter directly to battery - do you think it sounds powerful enough..?

Did you check the fuel valve to see if it's clogged?

If it turns over and dosnt start for future reference to save you the headache of cleaning the whole carb. Try spraying starting fluid in the intake and see if it fires on that. If it does its 100% a fuel issue. If it still dosnt fire you have a spark or timing or compression issue. If your sure its getting fuel i would be looking for a spark issue next. And remember just because the plug shows spark dosnt mean its sparking at the correct time. In order of problem likleyhood if i saw spark at all i would be doing a compression test. 100psi or more it should run is the general rule of thumb. If compression is good i would be checking for a sheered woodruff key on the flywheel that would make spark inconsistant or at the wrong time. If all that checks out maybe weak coil or a wiring issue of some sort. The video to me sounds like its turning over alittle slow but not enough to not start. My .02
