Honda rincon 650 swap to a 680 cylinder

I’m sure this has been asked before but I can’t find a decent thread on it. Can you swap the cylinder and piston from a 680 rincon to the 650? I’ve heard it can be done but I haven’t seen it confirmed. Thanks
