New here and need some help. Ive got a recon 250 fourtrax? Not sure what model it is, its old maybe a 2000 or earlier. Yesterday I thought I would get it and charge the battery and start getting it ready for hunting season.
Of course the battery was dead it did charge though. Then when trying to crank the thing would crank but would not stay running. I drained the gas and changed the spark plug but still the same. if you hold the choke on and work the throttle you can keep it running for 30 secs to a minute. I assume the carborator need to be cleaned. Ive never done ne carb work if it is the problem is this something i can do myself or should i seek help. also the choke wont stay on you have to hold it to keep it from sliding back down. I dont have a manual for this four wheeler so any link with pictures of the work to be performed would be appreciated. The last time it was cranked it ran well (over a year ago) its always been hard toget started . Its always been hard to start you have to push the throttle ever so slightly to get it to crank. To much and you get nothing to little the same. Thanks in advance for your help
